Our Nursery

Baby Bears : Birth to two years
Our ‘baby unit’ is a relaxed, cosy space where our youngest children can settle into the nursery routine. We will work closely with parents to follow your child’s sleep and weaning routines to ensure the transition to nursery is as stress-free as possible. Our friendly staff are always available to talk to you about your child’s progress and create a good bond between your child and their designated key person. Your baby’s day will be filled with time to explore as they rapidly develop new skills.

Tiny Tigers : Two to three years
In our ‘Tots room’, you will see a mix of adult-led and child-choice activities, often messy and always fun! There is plenty of space for active toddlers to move around, enjoy story times and music sessions and use their imagination in role-play. We work on children’s listening skills and follow a daily routine so children can feel secure in their environment. As in Baby Bears, your child will have a key person to monitor their progress and development.

Marvelous Monkeys & Fantastic Foxes : Three to Five Years
Our ‘preschool rooms’ focus on getting your child school ready. Many local schools have commented that they can tell when a child has been part of our nursery by how well they transition into school. There is still plenty of opportunity for imaginative play combined with developing listening and conversation skills. Children begin to work on early numeracy and literacy during play and creative activities, so learning is fun and enjoyable.

Our Garden
Our safe, enclosed outdoor area is used by all children, with each room having its own time slots throughout the day. Children are encouraged to explore the natural environment and love to plant seeds for our growing zone. Outdoor play is enjoyed in all weather, from Sports Days in the sunshine to building snowmen or splashing in puddles.

Our Team
Caring for your children, we have a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals ranging from level 2 up to doctoral level. Every member of the team undertakes regular training and strives to achieve the next level in their career path. Our SENDCo is trained to a master level in child psychology with child development and language. We all undertake specialist external training to meet the children’s individual needs. We are exceptionally lucky to have a designated Safeguarding Lead and Early Years Teacher trained Doctorate level in Early Years. Our legal duty is to have at least one member of the team qualified in paediatric first aid. However, we insist on all our team members holding this qualification. We have a rigorous vetting system and endeavour to ensure our team, as diverse as we are, has exceptionally high standards. All new staff undertake this training within the first six months of being employed by the nursery.
