Making the Transition to Nursery<\/strong><\/h1>\n

First Day At Nursery<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On your child\u2019s first day, we ask that you ensure their group is settled into their allocated room. This allows the key person to spend quality time with you and your child, as this day can be upsetting for both of you.<\/p>\n

We endeavour to make the transition as smooth as possible and appreciate your co-operation. We request that your child bring a named bag, spare clothes for those little accidents, and a named coat to avoid confusion. We do have group bags if you would like to purchase one.<\/p>\n

You are welcome to stay for as long as you need, but you should not feel guilty if you want to make a quick getaway. However, we do not advise that you \u201csneak\u201d away when they are distracted, as this can be very upsetting for children. We suggest you hug and kiss them when you leave and reassure them that you will return later.
Leaving your child at nursery is a big step for you and your child. It is our job to make this as stress-free as possible. We do this by arranging free taster sessions where your child joins the group, gets to know the other children, and spends quality time getting to know your child’s key person.<\/p>\n
