Little Potters Nursery

Sewing the seeds for a confident future
We allow children to be independent thinkers, encouraging them to ask questions and solve problems for themselves. Adults will carefully watch children at play and then work with them to challenge them further to ensure they reach their full potential.
Our Vision
A caring and stimulating nursery environment where children will thrive and learn.
A stimulating, challenging and meaningful learning experience that meets all our children's indivdual needs and aspirations, enabling them face to future challenges.
A positive, productive partnership between children, staff, parents and the wider community.
A secure and trusting relationship with children and their families, valuing parents as their children's first and most important educators.
Opportunities for outdoor learning daily in all weathers, where planned learning experiences will occur.
Independent children who are actively involved in their learning.
A safe learning environment that meets the expectations of the EYES through our Home from Home Play-Based approach to learning. Wwe are commited to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We continuously strive to improve the nursery to be the best it can be.

Respect
Respect is something that runs through everything we do. It promotes a culture of tolerance, inclusion, diversity, equality, fairness, and opportunity.
Our Values

Emotional Wellbeing
Central to all we do, we believe that children and families need to feel secure in their relationships with us. They need to feel emotionally contained and have the opportunities to make secure attachments.

Learning Is Valued
We believe that with support, our children and families develop dispositions that enable them to be effective lifelong learners. We have developed our Home from Home Learning approach that facilitates learning in context and is transferable to the children’s homes. Children learn that it is OK to make mistakes; this is how we learn.

Inclusivity
We believe that all children and families are welcomed and valued. Children learn that we are all different and our differences are what make us unique.

Cultural Capital
We recognise that everyone comes to us with a journey to share, from which we can learn. We understand that this personal journey needs to be shared, and we help children by building on their existing journey.

Creativity
We celebrate the process of learning, making connections, imagining and problem-solving, recognising everyone as a unique thinker and artist. We take the lead from individual fascinations and interests and allow them to inspire us.
